November 6th is a blog concerned with reporting and commenting on the events of
the upcoming American Presidential election in which Barack Obama will contend
with a yet undecided opponent. It is concerned with surveillance of campaign
events, media coverage, poll results, and the ongoing caucus results. This blog
aims to inform and educate those who may not have been interested in the topic
before hand, and provide them with an alternative perspective which they may not
have considered.
However, this blog will aim to remain unbiased in predictions
of the winner of the election, and is primarily concerned in the reporting of
events which may illuminate how the game of the campaign is carefully
constructed and played in order to gain maximum impact and lure voters to the
cause. All pieces of work published on this blog will aim to be as well
researched as possible in order to provide the most accurate of information in
order to educate the reader responsibly.
The target audience are young British
adults, who may not see the 2012 election as interesting, important or infact
relevant, but this blog aims to challenge existing ideology and provoke thought
in the reader as it is crucial to our deeper understanding of the world to
understand how one of the most influential world leaders came to possess this
executive power. The title of this blog, November 6th, is a continuous reminder
of the date in which the general election will be held. It aims to remind the
reader each time they read the blog how fast approaching the election is and how
little time there is for the contenders to convince the voters that their
leadership is the one worth choosing.
Note: this blog originally came to life for academic purposes, it is a student blog. All opinions are mine unless otherwise stated and are no way affiliated with Swansea University.
